Porter Fall/Winter 2010

Keeping in tradition with the Japanese-make-American-product-better-than-actual-Americans, Porter recently dropped their Fall/Winter 2010 line of bags that carefully balance durability with unprecedented American utility, function and style. Founded in 1962 by Yoshida & Co., Porter is a name that - while relatively new to the U.S. market - has a strong history of quality and uniquely modern fabrications, making what might be the perfect year-round bag for any occasion. And the best part is they just get better with age.

Keel's Simple Diary Volume One

Phillip Keel has recently teamed up with Taschen on the "Simple Diary" to help individuals get their thoughts on paper without the overwhelming sensation of the infamous blank-page syndrome. Each page contains quips on psychology and philosophy, using quirky multiple-choice questions, memorable quotes, and probing content to help get your pen back on the page. And let's not forget the striking book cover options as well. "Simple Diary is Keel's response to having too much information and not enough meaning, and needing to remember what made him smile...[and] it gives the pleasure of a quick response and the sense that no matter what's wrong, more is right."

Ryan McGinley's Olympic Athletes

Ryan McGinley recently teamed up with Rodarte and a slew of Olympic hopefuls (think Shawn White, Evan Lysacek, Hannah Kearney, and Anders Johnson) to create a portfolio of dreamy - if not other-worldly - images that place a new light on the athletes and the gravity-defying places they inhabit. Even more interesting might be the complete lack of nudity so often found in Mr. McGinley's work. See the full collection of images here.
Levi's Cords for Opening Ceremony

As if Opening Ceremony didn't have their creative paws in enough melting pots of cool, they've now teamed up with Levi's for a cord collection that will most certainly have the monochromatic set ready for spring. Aptly titled Levi's Cords for Opening Ceremony, the collection will feature the staple trucker jacket and slimmed-down versions of the basic button down shirt and the iconic 505 in such colors as teal, fuschia, olive, curry, beige and white (just to name a few). While the collection doesn't "officially" launch until New York Fashion Week, us groundlings can get our hands on them at levi.com starting February 15.
